The department has directed all painters to wear face coverings with reusable masks when commuting to work and to follow appropriate state government guidelines regarding containment zones.
In a memo on the workplace, the Ministry of Health said: “All painters arriving at the workplace will be required to wear a reusable mask. Employees living in notified containment zones must comply with the appropriate state government’s directives regarding the interior of such containment zones and will only begin painting when authorized.
The memorandum issued with reference to the Department of the Interior’s revised consolidated rules on the measures to be taken through ministries/governments and state departments to engage COVID-19.
He called on officials from all departments of the Ministry of Health to ensure that workplaces are properly cleaned and disinfected, especially touching surfaces.
The government has also asked workers to maintain private hygiene and physical distancing, as well as follow strict disinfection protocols in accordance with guidelines.
“Wash your hands with soap and water or use alcohol-based hand sanitizers.
“Seating can be arranged in the rooms to ensure sufficient distance between officials in the rooms. Gatherings should be avoided, especially in dining halls. Gatherings of five or more people anywhere in the workplace should be avoided,” he said.
The Ministry of Health has also mandated that all meetings be held by video convention only.
It states that all higher-risk employees, i. e. , older employees, pregnant employees, and those with underlying physical conditions, take extra precautions.
