Dubai: A national vaccination policy passed through the cabinet of the United Arab Emirates, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, will ensure some sustainability and effectiveness in combating communicable diseases, he said. Al Owais said politics is a vital step in developing policy plans to ensure physical security, a national priority of the UAE, through government-community cooperation.
He added that the Ministry of Health and Prevention would provide resources to achieve policy results, in coordination with fitness authorities, to ensure the provision of the most productive immunization and to provide quality vaccines that meet the highest national and foreign standards.
COVID-19 vaccine trials in the United Arab Emirates saw 31,000 volunteers register to participate in the program at the end of August.
Phase III trials of the world’s first inactivated coronavirus vaccine, called “4Humanity,” aimed to succeed in a pattern of 15,000 people.
4Humanity trials involve a vaccine developed through the Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinopharm China National Biotec Group.
The developer stated that their vaccine had effectively generated antibodies in all volunteers, who won two doses 28 days apart, the first two testing stages in China.
