Japan’s cumulative COVID-19 infections surpassed 10 million cases on Thursday, with the country recording more than 90,000 new infections so far one day in a row, however it said there were no plans to impose restrictions at this stage.
At a press conference, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida called for “maximum caution” while keeping the economy running, adding that the government will “use our enhanced reaction capacity” to stop the seventh wave of coronavirus infections.
