COVID-19 Tracker: Tokyo Reports 7,969 New Cases as Daily Count Continues to Rise

P/SUNNY

A Health Ministry panel warned that the peak of cases in the eighth wave may surpass that of the seventh wave, when Tokyo recorded more than 40,000 cases in one day in late July.
