COVID-19 tracer: Tokyo confirms 18,731 cases

The number of new COVID-19 cases in Tokyo stood at 18,731 on Saturday, about 1,700 more than last week.

A total of 19 deaths were reported in the capital among COVID-19 patients that day, while 44 inflamed people were in critical condition according to the capital’s criteria, one more than the previous day.

On Friday, Japan reported a record 371 COVID-19 deaths, with the number of new infections emerging from around 20,600 since last week to 174,082.
