Passengers travelling to Hong Kong and Italy from London Heathrow Airport can now perform Covid-19 (loop-mediated isothermal amplification) tests prior to departure.

LAMP verification is described as a less expensive and faster form of Covid-19 verification compared to PCR verification used through the NHS, and Heathrow checks will be carried out through nurses at Terminals 2 and 5.
Passenger and airline demand will be monitored while the tests are administered during the first 4 weeks at Heathrow.
Collinson has partnered with Swissport, a ground-level airport service provider, to offer a “proof of arrival” facility at Heathrow Airport in August, but is awaiting UK government approval.
