COVID-19 tests in Armenia intensify before the reopening of Armenian news agency ARMENPRESS

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS. The health government said it had particularly intensified COVID-19 testing in the last 24 hours, as they are being tested before the school’s planned reopening on September 15.

“The increase in the number of tests is due to the fact that teachers are being evaluated. They will have to be evaluated before schools reopen,” Ministry of Health spokeswoman Alina Nikoghosyan told ARMENPRESS.

A record 3,518 tests have been held in the last 24 hours. There have been 99 new instances of COVID-19, bringing the cumulative total number of instances displayed to 45152, the Armenian Center for Disease Control reported. 431 patients recovered, bringing the total number of cures to 41023. Two other people died of COVID-19, which increased the death toll to 905. This number does not come with the death of 279 (3 in the last 24 hours) of other people inflamed with the virus who died of other pre-existing conditions, according to the fitness authorities.

At 11 a. m. on September 9, the number of active instances is 2945.
