YEREVAN, AUGUST 14, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian government has the option of introducing a COVID-19 verification site at Yerevan Airport to facilitate the arrival of foreign travelers.
On 12 August, Armenia prolonged the state of emergency of the coronavirus and announced relief in the restrictions.
Armenia is now open to foreign travellers, the ban on non-citizens has been lifted.
At the same time, it is anticipated that upon entering Armenia, if the traveler is not hospitalized, it will have to be quarantined for 14 days, however there is an innovation, you can test those 14 days and in case of a negative result. . the regime of self-quarentine is changed.
“Now we are discussing creating the opportunity for airport arrivals. We are running in this direction,” Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan spokesman Vahan Hunanyan told ARMENPRESS.
Hunanyan stated that, according to existing regulations, the arriving user will have to move to his self-quarentine site without delay and will not be allowed to leave, even for a test. In order to be tested, the user must invite the laboratory doctors to their auto-quarente site and, in case of negative results, the user has the right to leave the auto-quarentena.
This new rule is retroactive and applies to travellers arriving in Armenia in the two weeks preceding August 12.
