COVID-19 tests in many counties in northwestern Georgia will be others starting Tuesday, September 1.
The Georgia Department of Public Health has announced adjustments to the date and time for coronavirus at several of its sites.
The tests will be loose for everyone.
The new deployment will provide more time and new verification sites statewide.
Gary Voccio, director of fitness for the Northwest Health District of 10 counties, said in a press that updating the tests gives the public a more convenient way to get tested “while better balancing the application for testing with our resources.”
Voccio also said it was recommended that other people with symptoms be tested and indicated that other people who are quarantined after contact with a positive COVID-19 case should be tested on the tenth day of their quarantine.
Under the new program, the state will provide COVID-19 checks six days a week in the Northwest Health District.A check site will open every day, Monday through Saturday, in all 4 regions with multiple counties.
The 4 regions are divided as follows:

The new testing program will no longer be presented in the fitness departments of Catoosa, Chattooga, Gordon, Haralson, Paulding, Polk, or Walker counties.

The tests in Catoosa County will be open Mondays and Tuesdays at The Ringgold United Mannerist Church.Testing in Dade County will be open Wednesday at the Dade County Department of Health.Testing in Walker County will be open Thursday and Friday at Chattanooga Valley Nazarene Church.
