COVID-19 social combination restrictions will be removed in Singapore and masks will no longer be needed indoors in some places, according to an Aug. 24 notification.
In addition to emergency ambulances and medical transport vehicles, the use of masks will remain mandatory in all hospital services and indoor polyclinics, which will add retail stores, food and beverages, usual spaces and other services within the number one dental and personal clinics, specialized services. , TCM clinics, kidney dialysis centers, clinical and radiological laboratories, day hospices, nursing homes1, COVID-19 care services, screening centers, and vaccination centers.
As of August 29, masks will no longer be required indoors, with the exception of places where important facilities are provided in cramped, overcrowded spaces frequented by vulnerable people.
People will still have to wear face masks when travelling on trains (MRT and LRT) and public buses. They will have to wear face masks on indoor public transport services, such as boarding spaces at bus interchanges and rain platforms.
Physical therapy clinics or other outdoor paramedical clinics in hospitals, non-residential network such as in-house home care and intellectual fitness network, matrix retail pharmacies in shopping malls, retail institutions, and spaces in other buildings are exceptions to the mask-wearing policy. .
In addition, boarding spaces for naturally ventilated bus interchanges, bus stops, and commercial spaces at exercise stations will no longer require the use of masks. On the other hand, industry legislation requiring the wearing of masks, such as the Singapore Food Agency’s mandate that the highest standards of hygiene, will remain in place.
However, when visiting crowded spaces or interacting with other vulnerable people, it is strongly recommended to stop wearing masks. To decrease the risk of respiratory infections, older and immunocompromised people deserve to continue wearing masks in high-traffic indoor situations.
There will be no need for separation between Americans or groups. The maximum capacity has been higher for all contexts and events. All staff members will now have to report to work, according to authorities. Wearing a mask in the office is not mandatory. However, in public shipments and in some physical care and residential care facilities, it will still be necessary.
