The Ministry of Health of the Union announced on Monday and Tuesday a national simulation of trainings to make an inventory of the preparedness of the public and hospitals in the wake of emerging cases of Covid-19 throughout the country.
On Monday, several states, Union territories assessed the state of Covid preparedness and the fitness government ordered the use of masks in hospital facilities.
The Indian Medical Association said the recent increase in Covid cases is possibly due to the rest of the Covid rules, adding low testing rates and lack of compliance with correct Covid behavior.
The resolution to conduct mock trainings was taken Friday at a virtual assembly between Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and state fitness ministers. He suggested that states and union territories identify emergency hotspots by checking trends in influenza-like illness (ILI) and severe acute respiratory infection (SISA) cases.
The World Health Organization (WHO) is largely following one variant of interest (VOI), XBB. 1. 5, and six other variants are surveillance (BQ. 1, BA. 2. 75, CH. 1. 1, XBB, XBF, and XBB. 1. 16).
