COVID-19: Saudi government closes 130 outlets in Jeddah for violating fitness protocols

Abu Dhabi: The Saudi government has closed 130 outlets in Jeddah in the more than 72 hours for violating COVID-19 protocols, Saudi media reported.

Undersecretary of submunitions, ing. Mohammad bin Ibrahim Al Zahrani said those outlets have a variety of activities, adding 73 workshops that were closed for violation of regulations.

Al Zahrani added that sub-municipalities are tasked with ensuring compliance with municipal needs and preventive protocols issued through the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, and noted that visits and follow-up responsibilities are continuous and come with all advertising activities 24 hours a day.

Al Zahrani presses on the jeddah municipality’s willingness to put into force regulations and precautionary measures to stop the spread of the pandemic.

Al Zahrani thanked the other people of Jeddah for their cooperation in reporting municipal violations through the emergency number and the “Baladi 940” application, in order to contribute to the improvement of the facilities already provided to them by public health.
