The Greek Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has extended a series of restrictions “aimed at protecting passengers and citizens from the Covid-19 pandemic”, as indicated in a press release issued on 1 October 2020.
The air directives (notams) on restrictions for certain countries and non-European citizens, negative CONTROL COVID-19 and filling in the passenger’s location form prior to departure continue until Monday, October 12, 2020, the CAA said.
It is announced that with a new air directive valid from Saturday 3 October until 12 October, passengers travelling to Greece by air from Poland will enter with an existing Covid-19 negative check that will have been made up to 72 hours before their arrival.
The flight relating to the suspension of flights between Greece and Turkey and between Greece and the Spanish region of Catalonia lasts until 12 October.
Flights to Greece from Albania and Northern Macedonia will be operated from Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport in Athens. This directive has been extended until 12 October.

Extended until 12 October, the Aviation Directive provides for a ban on access to Greece for non-European citizens (non-EU citizens), but excludes citizens of the following 11 countries: Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, New Zealand, Rwanda, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, Uruguay and the United Arab Emirates

In addition, permanent citizens of Israel coming to Greece will again be subject to sampling tests for COVID-19, while the maximum access limit of 5,000 ers from Israel to all airports in Greece remains for the time being.

The CAA also informs all passengers that the mandatory filling out of the Passenger Location Form (PLF) to the email addresses https://travel. gov. gr/ through all passengers on foreign flights to Greece.
It can be completed no later than the last day of arrival. Please note that before accepting passengers on boarding, airlines must verify: (a) the PLF confirmation at least the day before the flight, which is a mandatory document (b) correspondence.
