That was in March 2020, when the first Covid lockdown began in the UK. People were forced to quarantine to help prevent the spread of the virus.
Since then, anti-covid measures have been lifted and most of the country’s citizens have earned their covid vaccine, adding at least one booster. Following the implementation of vaccination, department stores and others were fully reopened.
As winter approached, a new wave of covid hit the country and large portions of Berkshire documented an increase in their covid case count. An expert from the University of East Anglia named Paul Hunter says this has nothing to do with a new variant, however, anything else.

He says the most important thing is the lifting of immunity. “We know that for highly transmissible peak endemic infections, the occurrence of infection is largely determined through the rate at which immunity is lost in the population,” he said. .
Hunter continued, “We also know that coverage against infection or reinfection after COVID vaccination or even infection would not last long. Fortunately, coverage against serious illness is longer-lasting. Hopefully the fourth dose will last a little longer. “The coverage opposes infection, but it’s too early to know for sure. “
This winter, the Covid virus and flu will circulate freely, without a mandate of precautionary measures. The flu didn’t seem to circulate as much as expected last year, most likely due to the use of masks and hand sanitizer.
Now that there are no more measures in place, Dr. Amir Khan warns of what experts have called a “double epidemic. “Other eligible people in the UK are actively encouraged to pass out and get their flu shot and a Covid booster shot.
