Dubai: Qatar has announced the detection of 398 new coronaviruses, bringing overall infections in the country to 109036.
According to Saturday’s latest coronavirus update, the Ministry of Public Health had not reported any further deaths, leaving the country’s death toll in 164.
The ministry also announced the full recovery of 330 new instances after receiving treatment, bringing this number to 105,750 of the total patients recovered.
Newly detected instances were revealed after 4326 PCR tests, bringing the total number of other people who were tested for coronavirus from the COVID-19 outbreak to 469,000.
Four patients were admitted to intensive care due to headaches due to infections, bringing to 98 the total number of cases that have lately received medical care in intensive care.
“Even if restrictions are lifted and the number decreases, this does not mean that the COVID-19 pandemic has ended in Qatar – each and every day between 50 and 100 more people are admitted to the hospital with moderate to severe symptoms of COVID- 19. Unless we comply with all precautionary measures, we may see a momentary wave of viruses and see that the number increases; there are already symptoms that this is declining in other countries around the world. Avoid close contact with others, overcrowding confined spaces and confined confined spaces where other people gather. Now more than ever, we will have to be careful and protect the highest vulnerable,” the ministry said in a statement.
There are 3,122 active cases, 98 in resuscitation and 516 patients lately in acute care.
