Dubai: Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health announced tuesday the detection of 216 new cases of coronavirus infection, bringing the country’s total number of COVID-19 infections to 118,994.
Another death was reported, raising the death toll to 198, the ministry said in its latest updates on coronavirus. The dead man is an 81-year-old man.
The ministry revealed the recovery of 228 inflamed people, bringing the total number of cases recovered to 115,895. There are 2,901 active cases, adding 389 critically treated patients, while another 65 are in resuscitation.
The total number of PCR tests conducted in the country amounted to 634,745 after another 4,914 people underwent COVID-19 testing in the last 24 hours.
