COVID-19: Qatar arrests 3 for violating housing insulation precautions

Cairo: Qatari government arrested 3 other people for violating domestic isolation imposed as a component of the emirate’s measures to involve the spread of coronavirus, Qatari news firm QNA reported.

The 3 men had failed to comply with their commitments to meet national quarantine needs established through the physical fitness authorities, a violation that makes them subject to prosecution, QNA added, and will be referred to trial, the firm added giving additional details.

Violation of domestic isolation in Qatar is punishable by 3 years and a fine of 10,000 dinars.

Qatar has recorded a total of 124,425 cases of viruses and 212 similar deaths. The Gulf country has a total population of 2. 7 million, totaling 2. 3 million expats.
