Orange County’s positive COVID-19 case rates and hospitalizations were unchanged from last week, according to data released Thursday by the Orange County Health Care Agency.
The county also recorded nine more deaths, bringing the total number of deaths to 7459. Seven of the deaths occurred last month, bringing the September death toll to 43. One death occurred in August, bringing that month’s death toll to 104, and in July, bringing that month’s death toll to 127.
The county, which provided updates Thursday, reported that hospitalizations increased from 163 on Sept. 29 to 133 on Wednesday. The number of patients in extended care sets decreased from 23 to 14.
The county has 26 percent of its ample care beds available. Officials worry when that percentage falls below 20%. Of those hospitalized, 68. 7% are not fully vaccinated or unvaccinated.
The county has registered 1,495 Arrays, bringing the cumulative number to 669,278.
The county’s check positivity rate rose to 6. 4% from 6. 1% last week, with the statistic emerging from 6. 5% to 6. 4% in the physical justice quartile, which measures the communities hardest hit by the pandemic. 7. 2 in an average of seven days with a seven-day lag, and 7. 8 to 7. 6 in the adjusted case rate consistent with 100,000 in an average of seven days with a seven-day lag.
The positivity rate for other people fully vaccinated with a booster rose from nine on Sept. 25 to 6. 6 as of Oct. 2, according to the most recent data available. For other people vaccinated without boosters, the rate increased from 4. 3 to 4. 4. other unvaccinated people, the highest rate of 8. 3 to 7. 2.
Authorities last week corrected an “irregularity” in national vaccine knowledge. The number of fully vaccinated population is 2,353,187. The number of citizens who have gained at least one dose is 209,790. The number of administered is 1,379,689.
The number of young people under four who have gained at least one dose is 14,091, of whom 6,166 are fully immunized. Only 3. 3% of the population of the municipality in the age order is fully vaccinated. For youth aged five to 11, 96,618 are fully immunized, or about 36. 5 depending on the organization’s age percentage. In the 12-17 year old organization, 69. 8% are fully vaccinated.
