Dubai: Pilgrims wishing to practice Umrah in the Holy Land must do so until November this year, local media reported that they brought resources from the Ministry of Religious Endowments and Affairs (MERA).
Saudi Arabia has announced that it will allow pilgrims to the sacred site from four October, but access would be limited to citizens of the kingdom.
“We hope to send pilgrims from the Sultanate from November this year, as they will allow others to leave the country from outside the country from November 1,” said a senior ministry official.
The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs (MERA) welcomed the resolution on the Holy Haj adopted in the kingdom.
MERA also suggested that all citizens respect the resolution and not retreat to the Holy Land and restrict their prayers within their homes.
