The Saskatchewan Health Authority on Friday declared an outbreak of COVID-19 at the Santa Maria Senior Home in Regina.
According to the facility, there are two coVID-19 shown similar to the long-term care home.
“That number has been solid since Friday,” CEO Kelly Chessie said in an email Sunday. “We are in the early stages and working hard with public health. “
Chessie says the facility continues to comply with all public fitness rules and infection measures.

“We are working diligently and to ensure the fitness and protection of our citizens and caregivers,” Chessie said.
According to the facility’s website, there are 147 citizens in the long-term care home, with level 3 and four care. One unit is dedicated to others with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
On Thursday, the Ministry of Health banned visits to all long-term care homes in the province, on the grounds of compassion.
On Sunday afternoon, there were seven active COVID-19 outbreaks in long-term care homes, 3 in assisted living, 4 in an organizational house, and one in a nursing home.
The largest known outbreak is at Luther Special Care Home in Saskatoon, where another 28 people at the facility tested positive for the new coronavirus.
