Efforts to transparent queues at check services appear to be working, but some queues still lasted for hours.
On Sunday morning, there was no queue at the Brewer Park verification center, where a new formula was introduced, giving those who were looking to check a price ticket for a moment to return.
An emerging behind-the-wheel driving site at the Canadian Tire Center that opened at nine a. m. allowed others for testing to arrive at four a. m.
The service is a partnership between Queensway Carleton Hospital, Health Ontario, Ottawa Senators and paramedics in eastern Ontario.
In the first two hours, paramedics administered 465 tests, Renfrew’s paramedic leader Mike Nolan, one of the organizers, said. At noon, other people reported queuing for up to 4 hours.
The driving service will be open until 6:00 p. m. , but those wishing to take the test will begin to be rejected at 5:30 p. m.
People wishing to be tested remain in their cars at the scene. They will need to provide a fitness card and other identity with an address, preferably a driver’s license, before obtaining a nasal sample.
During the first day of operation, it took place from 1 p. m. at 6 p. m. on Saturday, the pop-up passed more than 700 tests. The goal is to conduct up to 2,000 tests on Sunday, the last day of the operation, Nolan said.
The COVID-19 control center at Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton Park, coventry Road Baseball Stadium, is also open, but there were no appointments for Sunday.
Ottawa Public Health reported 15 new cases and there were no new deaths at 2 p. m. Saturday. Lately there are 11 other people treated in the hospital, two of them in intensive care.

There were 365 new instances shown and one death in the province at 2 p. m. on Saturday. This is mild in the number of new instances. On Friday, 407 new instances were reported.
People over 20 to 39 accounted for 187 of the new, 69% of all, newArray fitness minister Christine Elliott said.
According to the province’s report, 63 patients have been hospitalized lately, but it is likely to be a falsely low figure because 35 hospitals did not submit information by Friday. The number of hospitalized patients is expected to increase once the information is disclosed.
Elliott noted that 40,127 tests were conducted on the last day of the report, “a novelty as we continue to expand the lab’s capacity. “
Meanwhile, Elliott reiterated that the province limits the number of people authorized to attend personal and un supervisory social gatherings in Toronto, Peel, and Ottawa, including parties, dinners, barbecues, and wedding banquets in private homes, playgrounds, parks, and other recreational areas. .
According to the new guidelines, only 10 other people can participate in an indoor event. Only 25 more people can participate in an outdoor event. The past restricts 100. Indoor and outdoor occasions also cannot be combined.
Those who organize a rally in residential premises face a minimum fine of $10,000. Meetings held in services with staff such as restaurants, conference centers, gyms, places of worship and entertainment opportunities are exempt.
“We will never hesitate to take additional measures for the fitness and well-being of all Ontarioers,” Elliott warned.
It was a busy morning: our paramedics were temporarily sent to long-term care facilities to evaluate patients who needed medical support. The team starts with an assembly to schedule the day and make sure all patients receive care as well as a photo imaginable. twitter. com/0GnUJLIhUR
