COVID-19: Oman will be the general blockade

Cairo: Oman announced Wednesday that it would end a two-week blockade between its governorates and reduce the number of hours of the curfew in the middle of the night to stop the spread of the new coronavirus.

An ideal state committee on COVID-19 has announced that the complete blockade, which was applied from July 25 to August 8, will be lifted from 6 a.m. next Saturday, the Omani news firm ONA reported. The closure included the Eid Al Adha holiday and banned Eid’s meetings to involve the emergence of the virus.

The committee also made the decision Wednesday to reduce the overnight ban in all sultanate provinces from nine o’clock at night. at five a.m. every day from next Saturday night for a week to the morning of August 15.

The panel also cited epidemiological indications and will continue to block Dhofar governorate until further notice, the NRA reported.
