COVID-19: Oman to names and images of criminals

Dubai: The names and photos of others who violate the precautionary measures opposed to COVID-19 in Oman will be published in the media, the Supreme Committee said today on COVID-19.

The committee called on everyone, especially young people, to fully adhere to all preventive measures at the individual and collective level and to end the entire circle of family members and social gatherings.

The competent government will take all legal action against criminals. Subsequently, the applicable government will announce the tactile data of the criminals and publish their names and photographs in the media.

Decisions were made following reports of an increase in the number of cases and deaths due to COVID-19 among all ages.

North Sharqiya police had arrested a citizens’ organization elsewhere to meet in public in violation of Supreme Committee decisions.

Police in Dhakhliya Province, along with nizwa Special Mission police, arrested an organization of others for a public demonstration.

The North Sharqiya police command arrested an Asian expat organization for collecting in violation of ideal committee decisions.
