Cairo: Oman said its total coronavirus infections reached 87,590, an increase of 262 cases from the country’s count announced the previous day.
The Oman Ministry of Health has estimated the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the country at 742, 8 new deaths.
The total number of patients recovered in the sultanate reached 82,973, or 94. 7%, the ministry told the Omani news firm ONA.
There are 161 patients receiving intensive care, the ministry added. In weeks, Oman has eased several virus-like restrictions.
In mid-August, the government lifted a mid-night motion ban imposed to curb the spread of COVID-19. Oman announced that it will resume flights abroad from October 1.
