COVID-19: Oman records 223 cases; generally at 81580

Cairo: Oman reported the new 223rd Sunday of the new coronavirus, bringing the country’s overall infections to 81,580.

The most recent cases come with 148 Omanis and 75 foreign nationals in Oman, the country’s official news firm ONA reported, mentioning the fitness ministry.

The ministry also announced 4 new deaths from COVID-19, bringing Oman’s total deaths to 513.

The country’s overall recovery from the disease rose from 1,210 to 74,691, the ministry added.

On Friday, Oman lifted a two-week blockade between his governorates from the easing of restrictions against an outbreak of the new coronavirus.

The evening curfew, put in position to involve COVID-19, has been shortened since Saturday.

Last week, a report from the Ministry of Health hinted that epidemiological knowledge implies minimal cases of infection in Oman.
