COVID-19: Oman infections succeed in 86380, death in 705

Cairo: Oman showed more of the new coronavirus on Thursday 256, bringing the country’s general infections to 86380, health minister Dr. Ahmed Bin Mohammad Al Saeed said.

Deaths from COVID-19 in Oman totaled 705, the minister said at a press conference.

Total recoveries of the disease in the sultanate reached 87,828, according to Dr. Al Saeed.

He added that the number of infections in the country should decrease, but called for precautions against the potentially fatal disease.

“We position hope in the awareness of society because it is our ultimate effective weapon [against disease],” dr. Al Saeed said, according to Omani news firm ONA.

He defended the reopening of economic activities in the country, saying it is progressive and precautionary. “Life will have to pass and the economic scenario has been affected [by the coronavirus pandemic] around the world,” he said.

The minister warned that corporations that comply with physical fitness precautions are subject to fines and closure.

He cited reports that some painters took advantage of his remote paintings to spend a few hours buying groceries and on the beaches.

An ideal committee of the state of Oman responsible for combating COVID-19 has strictly banned all the fundraising bureaucracy and lifted the ban, the minister said.
