Cairo: Oman showed on Sunday 1,157 new instances of the new coronavirus, one of the 154 instances of the previous day’s count.
The most recent ones lead to 66,661 infections in the country overall, the Omani news firm ONA, which mentioned the ministry of fitness, reported.
Newly diagnosed cases come with 933 Omanis and 224 foreign residents, the ministry said without offering a breakdown of non-Oman patients.
The ministry announced 10 more deaths for COVID-19, the same number for the time of a consecutive day, bringing the total number of deaths in Oman to 318.
There are 165 patients receiving intensive care.
The country’s overall recovery after the disease reached 44,004, according to the ministry.
In weeks, Oman has noticed an increase in viral infections, which has led the government to tighten preventive measures.
Last week, an ideal committee to fight COVID-19 announced the continued closure of Dhofar governorate and Masirah state until it becomes an additional account as a component of precautions against the spread of highly infectious disease.
