Abu Dhabi: After many circular trips, Kuwait’s educational year is officially over. The cabinet approved the plans presented through the Minister of Education, Dr. Saud Al Harbi, and announced that all academics considered the most successful, the Kuwaiti media reported.
With respect to the secondary level, the cumulative weighted average (GPA) for the educational year would be changed.
Al Harbi explained that the end of the existing educational year (2019-2020) is the result of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and said that the rest of the moment part of this year will merge with the first half of next year of education (2020-2021) beginning on Sunday, October 4.
Al Harbi stated that it had also been announcing academics from kindergarten, number one and a half to the next class, while a mechanism had been followed to announce academics in categories 10 and 11 to the following two categories, provided that each student, who does not have a degree due to an absence, has the right to take the circular exams at the time.
He added that with respect to high school, the decision was made to replace the cumulative average of the existing educational year only, and move the component to the next year, that is, to make Grade 11 25% of grades, and Grade 12 80% of grades. He added: Those who wish the fee will be able to repeat the school year.
It stated that during the 12th year, the remaining era of the time, part of the existing year (201-1920) was decided for six weeks, indicating that the systems had been changed to reflect the era of review completed and that it was planned to be held. Al Harbi stated that the student assessment would be weekly interactions, activities, educational reports and participation in the electronic portal, provided reports are submitted.
He said there will be no direct written evidence, as long as all of the above is implemented in public and personal schools and special schools, which apply the high school curriculum.
Al Harbi reiterated that the ministry is in a position to receive some 450,000 academics in the country’s first e-learning experience, noting that the world witnessed an unprecedented crisis and that the concepts were becoming from one moment to the next, stressing that the Ministry of Education committed itself to ensuring that Kuwaiti leaders trusted that students’ physical condition is incredibly important. He explained that 10% of academics on staff with foreign systems are entitled to scholarships and that 90% of public school academics are entitled to scholarships. “We will announce the full scholarship plan after the end of the educational year for all systems,” the minister said.
