The brutal blow of COVID-19 appears to be diminishing as the virus becomes new variants, the Ventura County public fitness official said Tuesday.
Dr. Robert Levin told the county oversight board that he is seeing more and more evidence that the disease is gradually declining as another coronavirus bureaucracy emerges in the region.
He also expressed hope that a period of several months will simply flatten or even decrease.
“The COVID virus is doing what we expected it to do from the beginning, which is that with the wave it becomes less and less dangerous,” Levin said. “The trend is going in the right direction for COVID and for us to leave. this nightmare we live in. “
