He also suggested that Nigerians be fooled by the fact that the country’s recovery rate is higher and very encouraging.
PTF President and Federation Secretary (SGF), Boss Mustapha, said this at Thursday’s press conference in Abuja.
According to Mustapha, “although Nigeria is no longer among the five most sensitive countries in terms of cumulative deaths in Africa, TFF continues to urge Nigerians to replace their attitude of skepticism and carefreeness towards the virus. In doubt, the virus is real, ferocious and deadly. To date, Nigeria has recorded 59,738 cases shown and 1,113 deaths.
“The PTF is fully aware, but not deceived, by the fact that our recovery rate is superior and very encouraging. We will have to continue to build mutual acceptance between government and governed if we are to keep the successes already achieved in the fight against COVID-19. “
He said that the TFP and the relevant agencies were working with the European Union on the factor of flights to Nigeria.
Mustapha said: “As soon as the negotiations are over, Nigerians will be informed accordingly. For the latest legal flights to Nigeria, we see a combined number of 4,500 passengers in line with the day for Lagos and Abuja. “
