Covid-19: Nigeria investigates Russian vaccine -FG

The federal government said it is lately investigating Russia’s claims related to a coronavirus vaccine.

Even when Nigeria, for the first time in recent weeks, has recorded no deaths in COVID-19, a progressive government has said it should not be misunderstood in the sense that the virus has been defeated.

While encouraging public caution and restraint, the federal government has stated that more than 1,000 vaccine trials are taking place worldwide lately.

He announced that he was reading progress related to the allegations of a new vaccine, Sputnik-V, across Russia.

The president of the presidential race organization, PTF, on COVID-19 and the Federation’s secretary of government, SGF, Who revealed this at the organization’s briefing in Abuja yesterday, said that 13844 of the 14906 Nigerians evacuated so far have been tested for COVID-19, while 684 of them have tested positive.

The government also denounced the resurgence of the number of fitness with the virus, saying it had taken concrete steps to mitigate the trend.

Studying Russian claims

Regarding Russia’s statement on the discovery of the vaccine, Mustapha said: “Globally, the world continues to seek a vaccine with more than 1,000 ongoing trials and other statements of good luck levels.

“In particular, we noticed the announcement through the President of Russia of the breakthrough in the progression of a vaccine, even as we go along.”

A day of doom

However, the SGF, which announced that no deaths had been recorded on Wednesday, quickly admitted that the war is far from winning.

He said: “The PTF would like to point out, as we have done before, that fewer cases have been reported in the last two weeks. This should never be construed as a victory over the virus.

“There is still a serious war to wage before us as other people and as a country. It is vital that we continue to build on our successes and do nothing to harm them.”

Fighting the pandemic successfully will take a global effort and Nigeria will not be left out whenever and where ever progress is made. However, the health and safety of Nigerians will always remain our priority in the pursuit of a solution.

“It would possibly be appealing to note that of the 14,906 evacuees who won this COVID-19 pandemic, almost 80% are young people who are pleased that only 684 have tested positive for coronavirus of the 13,844 analyzed to date.

“In the coming days, we expect to get more evacuees from other parts of the world. The National Coordinator will expand this issue.”

Infection of health workers

The Minister of State for Health, Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora, lamented the outbreak of infection through fitness workers, that the ministry had taken steps to prevent the trend.

He said: “We are involved in the resurgence of infection between fitness careArray To maintain the progress we have made in reducing the infection rate among our fitnessArray, we are committed to exercising and re-exercising fitness in infection prevention and control.

“In the state of Abia, we have completed the 594 fitness education of public and personal fitness services on infection prevention and control. Lately we are investigating a fitness care-associated infection at a gym in Kaduna state.

“Lessons learned from this will be used to improve service delivery. I inspire our fitness staff not to give up their guards because the pandemic is with us. Use your PPE properly and wisely. We have ensured that the PPE is available in all our fitness facilities. »

The Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, said that when the VET assesses all the knowledge before it, it will communicate its resolution as to when higher education establishments and other establishments would be fully reopened.

He reiterated the call through some stakeholders in the Academic Staff Union, ASUU, to “give a moratorium on strike action over the next 3 years so that Nigerian university formula can be rebuilt before further unrest.”

“We are working with science and knowledge and when the country is in a position to reopen, I do not think the ASUU is unreasonable or illogical to resume.”

“They have more than 10,000 teachers from about 65,000 teachers and I am almost convinced that they will know as well as we do that young people return to school whenever we are prepared.”
