The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has 281 new coronavirus infections (COVID-19) in the country.
The NCDC announced this in its verification on Tuesday.
The firm said infections raised Nigeria’s total number to 67,838.
Among the new infections, knowledge received from the agency showed that the state of lagos had the highest number of infections with 123, while the territory of the federal capital, Kaduna and Imo reported 64, 38 and 15 infections respectively.
The rivers were 11; Plateau eight; Ogun five; Bayelsa and Kwara had 4 each; Bauchi and Edo had 3 each; Kano two and Osun one.
Nigeria has so far tested 779708 more people since the first case of COVID-19 was announced on 27 February 2020.
The firm said 148 patients have recovered from COVID-19 and have been discharged from isolation centers in the country.
“Our releases come with 61 network recoveries in Lagos state, controlled according to guidelines,” the center said.
The NCDC said there had been 3 COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours in Nigeria.
The fitness firm said a multisectoral National Emergency Operations Center (NSC) has been activated at 3 to coordinate national reaction activities (NNUs).
