Abu Dhabi: More than a portion of Abu Dhabi consumers prefer to shop in less frequented supermarkets and stores, a survey revealed through the Abu Dhabi Food and Agriculture Authority (ADAFSA).
The survey showed that 51% of citizens replaced their food-buying behavior and opted for a less congested environment due to the coronavirus pandemic, up to the global average of 31%.
Other effects of the survey showed that 58 percent of consumers were also confident in the precautionary measures put in place to ensure food safety in the pandemic, while 36 percent expressed confidence in the accuracy and clarity of pandemic awareness and similar protection measures. .
The survey also revealed a high point of confidence in food protection and overall protection, with 93% of respondents expressing confidence in the ability of food services to meet customer demands.
Confidence is also paramount among citizens about ADAFSA’s role in ensuring food protection amid the pandemic, with an approval rate of 86%. The vast majority of consumers, 84%, were also convinced of the transparency of the data provided.
