COVID-19 measures close Universal Beijing complex

Oct. 26 (UPI) – The Beijing Universal Complex closed Wednesday due to emerging cases of COVID-19.

“We will continue to assess the impact on operations and make every effort to resume operations as soon as possible,” the company said in a statement.

The company said refunds and price ticket changes were provided and consumers were provided with information on how it would work.

“We will inform you as soon as the reopening date is confirmed,” he said.

China reported 1,230 cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, while there were 1,068 cases on Monday.

China is grappling with COVID-19 and the effect of virus containment policies, as the Chinese economy failed to meet its July-September quarterly expansion targets.

The Universal Beijing complex said it was implementing “a series of deep cleaning and disinfection” at the complex following the temporary closure.
