Covid-19 lab leak theory to be thrown out, says former Chinese CDC chief

The former head of China’s Centre for Disease Control (CDC) said the theory that the coronavirus would possibly have leaked from a lab is not ruled out, BBC News reported, in an obvious departure from the Chinese government’s vocal opposition to any suggestion that the pandemic possibly originated in a lab.

George Gao, who stepped down as head of China’s CDC last year, told BBC Radio 4 he is not ruling out any option, adding that “it’s science”.

Gao also revealed that the Chinese government “organized something” to investigate the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which proponents of the lab leak theory say is the most likely source of the leak.

The former fitness official added that the Wuhan lab had been “checked twice by experts” and that he had “heard” that none had been found.

Although the lab leak theory has been obtained from some U. S. federal agencies. The U. S. and some lawmakers around the world (including the most sensible Republicans in the U. S. ) are making U. S. decisions. Most scientists hold the theory that the coronavirus originated in a bat and eventually jumped to humans, most likely via one or more intermediate species. In March, a foreign team of scientists said they had discovered genetic knowledge linking the origins of the virus to raccoon dogs sold at the Wuhan rain market. The findings are found in swabs taken at Huanan Seafood and surrounding areas. Wholesale market in Wuhan at the beginning of the pandemic. The data shows that raccoon dogs sold on the market could have been “carriers and probably excretors” by the end of 2019. While this definitely doesn’t turn out that raccoon dogs carried the virus or transmitted it to humans, it’s still the most powerful evidence linking rainy market animals to the virus.

Earlier this year, it was reported that the U. S. Department of Energy was not working on the U. S. Department of Energy. The U. S. government believed with “low confidence” that the coronavirus that causes covid-19 had leaked from a lab. The DOE is one of only two federal agencies besides the Federal Bureau of Investigation. (FBI), that’s the lab leak theory. Among the other agencies tasked through the Biden administration with investigating the origins of the pandemic, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Intelligence Council, and 4 other unnamed intelligence agencies were the herbal origin theory. The Central Intelligence Agency and some other companies would remain undecided. Beijing officials have expressed opposition to the lab leak theory, calling it a U. S. effort. The U. S. government is trying to politicize the origins of the pandemic. Instead, Beijing has tried to push its own narrative that the virus first gave the impression of being outside China and entered the country through frozen food.
