Cairo: Kuwait has shown 559 cases of new coronavirus in the last 24 hours, with 59,763, Kuwaiti news firm KUNA reported on Monday.
The newest involve 337 Kuwaitis and 222 foreign residents, Ministry of Health spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al Sanad said.
All the new cases were in touch with previously infected people or are being investigated for sources of infection and identifying those who were in contact, he added.
The total number of COVID-19 deaths in Kuwait is 408 as no new deaths have been recorded.
There are 138 patients receiving extensive care treatment, the official added in a media update.
The total number of viral tests in Kuwait reached 462,704 long after 3355 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, Dr. Al Sanad said.
The Ministry of Health reported that another 652 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cures for the disease in Kuwait to 50,339.
