Cairo: Kuwait has shown 512 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, a fall of 187 recorded the following day. It brings the total number of infections in the country to 75,697, Kuwaiti news firm KUNA reported today.
All new instances that were in contact with Americans in the past angered or are being investigated to locate infection resources and identify those who were in contact, Ministry of Health spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al Sanad said in an update.
Four COVID-19 deaths were announced, bringing the total number of deaths in Kuwait to 498.
There are 115 patients receiving intensive care, Dr. Al Sanad said.
Kuwait’s general viral tests have reached 555,937 to date after 3,307 tests have been conducted in more than 24 hours, the official added.
The Ministry of Health also reported that 779 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in more than 24 hours, bringing the total number of cures for the disease in Kuwait to 67,519.
Kuwait has recently put forward a plan to return to general life.
