COVID-19 kills in Egypt, Bahrain and Yemen

Egypt, Bahrain and Yemen reported more deaths from the new coronavirus early Tuesday as the number increased.

Egypt

The virus has killed 23 other people in Egypt, according to the country’s ministry of fitness.

The death toll in the country of COVID-19 has reached 4,888, while the number of cases is now 94,640.

A total of 44,066 patients have recovered, the ministry added.

Bahrain

In Bahrain, another 3 people died from the virus and 299 new infections were reported, according to the country’s ministry of fitness.

The total number of deaths has reached 150 and the total number to date is 41,835.

Some 39,007 have recovered from the disease, the ministry added.

Yemen

Two other coronavirus deaths have been reported in Yemen, according to a report by the National Committee on Coronavirus Control.

The death toll reached 499 and the number 1734. Total recoveries 863.

Globally

The COVID-19 pandemic has killed nearly 692,000 people in at least 188 countries and regions since it first made its first impression in Wuhan, China, last December.

More than 18.19 million cases have been reported worldwide, with the United States, Brazil, India and Russia being the most affected countries of late, according to figures compiled through The United States-based Johns Hopkins University.

Knowledge shows that more than one of all patients, more than 10.85 million, have recovered so far.
