COVID-19 kills five more Iranians in last 24 hours

TEHRAN. KAZINFORM — The death toll from the coronavirus pandemic in Iran has risen to 144,536 with five more Iranians killed from the deadly disease in the past 24 hours, Iran’s Health Ministry said on Thursday, IRNA reports.

Five other Iranians have died from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 144,536, Iran’s Health Ministry said on Thursday.

In the last 24 hours, 200 new cases of COVID-19 infection have been detected, of which 48 have been hospitalized, he said.

Iran’s Health Ministry said 7,329,918 patients out of a total of 7,555,555 inflamed people have recovered or been discharged from hospitals.

129 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition and in intensive care units, he added.

Iran’s Ministry of Health also announced that 65,106,087 Iranians received the first dose and 58,509,514 more people received the current dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

In addition, another 31,287,750 people also gained the third or fourth booster shot.
