Although the COVID-19 pandemic has broken a wide variety of industries around the world, it appears that hashish is possibly not one of them. A industry white paper last week shows that the expansion of the hash industry in 2020 is lately higher than in 2019. Recruitment of hash companies is also picking up and stores are buying more products from companies than before the pandemic.
The white paper, The State of the Cannabis Industry: 2020 can now be downloaded freely. It was created as a component of a collaboration between LeafLink, Vangst, and FlowHub.
If you are familiar with companies, LeafLink is a wholesale hash market and has provided data on transactions between brands and retailers. Flowhub is a retail hash control platform for fashion dispensaries and has presented a clinical sales perspective for the newspaper, and Vangst is a human capital resource platform for the hash legal industry and has provided recommendations from a hiring perspective.
The white paper shows a two-week increase in hashish sales in March, when the United States began responding to COVID-19 and orders to remain at home began to occur. Much of this increase in sales is likely due to panic purchases from consumers who did not know when they would access the clinic in the future.
After this two-week peak, there was a slight decrease, because sales consumers realized that dispensaries would be considered essential (and want to paint on this reserve).
Subsequently, there was an era of recovery with some additional spikes leading to 4/20, when sales stabilized, stabilized at a volume well above what they were in 2019, at an average of 40% more. It’s a big leap.
The total white paper is reading, but it highlights a more powerful hash industry as a total as the economy begins to recede and states begin to open.
Beyond its current use, researchers are also considering hashish as a prospective way of treating it and saving it from COVID-19.
The researchers, Olga and Igor Kovalchuck, have supposedly evolved and tested a new variety of hashish for years, to create a strain that helps fight cancer and inflammation. At the time of the pandemic, the duo began to focus their efforts on how tension can be used to help combat COVID-19.
This study was published in April and notes that cannabis, i.e. a specific strain of cannabis, can prevent COVID-19 from entering the framework of a person in the first place.
It’s still a theory, but if proven, it could put hashish at the center of finding a cure for COVID-19.
Whether or not it ends up emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic, it turns out that hashish has the number of other people passing through it.
