He said: “The aviation sector in Iraq has been affected by the pandemic and the closure of airspace in all countries of the world, leading some airlines to file for bankruptcy due to the inability to unload significant wages and expenses to aircraft and other obligations. »
The minister explained that the national airline has a fleet of 31 fashionable aircraft that satisfy Iraki Airways’ wishes, “and that there are efforts for the Iraqi air fleet with planes and open lines to operate aircraft parked at Iraqi airports due to the ban imposed on them.
The minister said: “The Ministry of Transport is committed to activating bilateral agreements between the Civil Aviation Authority and some Arab countries. Reciprocity has been established to deal with countries that have closed their airspace to Iraqi aircraft if there are no genuine justifications. “As a result, the Ministry will host the closure of Iraqi airspace to this air traffic in those countries.
