COVID-19 infections in South Africa 600,000 – Ministry of Health

JOHANNESBURG – Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Africa have exceeded 600,000, the Ministry of Fitness said Friday, the number of new cases has been declining since a peak in July.

The country now has 603338 cases of viruses and 12843 other people have died, the ministry said shortly after the National Institute of Communicable Diseases first posted the figures on Twitter. (Report through Emma Rumney; Editing through Sandra Maler)
