COVID-19 infections in Oman reached 84,652

Cairo: Oman said on Tuesday its overall new coronavirus infections reached 84,652, a backlog of 143 new cases from the count reported the previous day.

The Omani Ministry of Health has estimated the total number of deaths from COVID-19 in the sultanate at 642 with new deaths.

The total number of patients cured in the sultanate rose to 79,147, or 93. 4%, the ministry told Omani news firm ONA.

The ministry added that the number of patients receiving intensive care is 151.

Last week, Oman lifted a night movement ban imposed to curb the spread of COVID-19.
