COVID-19: infections in Oman at 89,746

Cairo: Total coronavirus infections in Oman amounted to 89,746, an increase of 1,409 cases from the country’s most recent count announced Thursday.

The Oman Ministry of Health has estimated the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the country by 780, another 18 deaths since Thursday.

Total recoveries in the sultanate reached 83,771, or 93. 3%, the ministry told Omani news firm ONA.

There are 161 patients receiving intensive care, the ministry added.

In mid-August, Oman lifted the ban on night movements imposed to curb COVID-19.
