AZUSA (CBSLA) – The Azusa City Council has approved an agreement between the city and Los Angeles County to open a loose indoor COVID-19 control site.
Starting Tuesday, August 11, others can take advantage of loose testing from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Northern Recreation Center (NRC) in Memorial Park, 340 N. Orange Place.
The check will be given to anyone who thinks they want it, regardless of their insurance, ability to pay or whether they have symptoms or not.
Tests are loose and county citizens want a medical exam.
Increased network testing will help the county achieve a planned purpose of expanding COVID-19 testing capacity by more than 65% in selected communities.
“We want to control as many citizens as possible to get a transparent concept of the scope of COVID-19 in our community,” said Azusa Mayor Robert Gonzales. “Tests are essential to help treat, track, isolate, or hospitalize inflamed people. Tests are also vital for physical fitness in general, as they help fitness experts characterize the prevalence, spread and spread of the disease.
“We are deeply grateful for this partnership with the first district manager, Hilda Solís,” Mayor Gonzales added. “It’s a checkup of his long-standing commitment to the city and the other people of Azusa. Many of our working families are a must-have staff and are uninsured or underinsured and do not seek access to physical care, so expanding access to COVID-19 verification sites is a top sensible priority.”
The tests will only be carried out by appointment and can be performed by visiting lhi.care/covidtesting or by calling 888-634-1123.
