COVID-19: Indonesia posts more than 3,000 new cases, in 24 hours

YAKARTA, 28 August – Indonesia has recorded 3,003 new positive cases in COVID-19 in 24 hours, the highest since the first case detected on 2 March.

Between noon yesterday and noon today, 105 more deaths have been reported in the republic.

During this period, Jakarta recorded 869 new positive cases, the Array and 10 more deaths. It also recorded the total number of positive cases with 37,082, followed by East Java (32,113) and the other 32 provinces.

East Java has the total number of deaths to date with 2,302, followed by Jakarta (1,156), Central Java (965), South Sulawesi (358) and the rest of the provinces.
