Chennai: Prominent reading singer S.P. Balasubrahmanyam (SPB), a Covid-19 patient, is a survival formula and is in critical condition, said MGM Healthcare, a personal hospital.
In a statement here, the hospital said on August 13 that SPB status had deteriorated and, on the recommendation of the medical team that treated him, was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The hospital said SPB is a formula for maintaining life and that her condition remains critical.
Lately it is under the supervision of a team of intensive care experts and its hemodynamic and clinical parameters are being largely monitored, according to a newsletter published through MGM Healthcare.
He entered MGM Healthcare on August 5 with Covid-19 symptoms.
On August 5, at a 74-year-old Facebook post, SPB said he was suffering from a very mild coronavirus attack and was hospitalized to rest.
He said doctors begged him to stay home and rest, that he made the decision to be in the hospital because at home, his circle of relatives would be very concerned.
I was hoping to be discharged from the hospital in two days.
