Muscat: Oman’s Ministry of Fitness issued a condolence note for the first coronavirus-related death among the fitness staff of the Ministry of Health in Oman. Nurse Blessy Thomas, from India, died of COVID-19 at the UCI of the Royal Hospital.
“With wonderful sadness and sadness, the Ministry of Health of the Sultanate of Oman mourns the death of Nurse Blessy Thomas in the UCI of the Royal Hospital because of COVID-19. This is the first death among Health Department health officials. The deceased was a true hero and a style of hard and honest work. The Minister of Health, as well as the staff of the Ministry of Fitness and all the fitness workers of Oman, expressed their sincere condolences to the circle of relatives of the deceased,” the memorandum said. .
Many friends and colleagues expressed their surprise and dismay at the news. Blessy is survived through her husband and two young children. There is an earlier death case of a COVID-19 fitness employee working for a personal clinic.
Dr. Thomas of Polyclinic Al Maha said the news is incredibly shocking, but given the extent of exposure of fitness employees during the pandemic period, this is a scenario that everyone in this domain is aware of. “Health personnel are now true warriors and their this function goes beyond what we can all think. When I see the doctors, nurses and lab technicians at my clinic who treat patients constantly every day without taking a break, I am very grateful.
