COVID-19: India registers 1,326 new ones in the last 24 hours; death toll at 5,29,024

The death toll rose to 5,29,024 with eight deaths adding five reconciled deaths in Kerala, according to data updated at 8 a. m.

Active instances account for 0. 04% of the total number of infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has risen to 98. 78%, the ministry said.

A minimum of 405 cases recorded in the number of active COVID-19 cases in 24 hours.

The daily positivity rate registered 1. 59%, while the weekly positivity rate registered 1. 08%, according to the ministry.

The number of other people who recovered from the disease amounted to 4. 41. 06. 656, while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1. 18%.

According to the ministry, 219. 63 million doses of the covid vaccine have been administered in the country as part of the national vaccination campaign against covid-19.

India’s COVID-19 count had crossed the 20 lakh mark on 7 August 2020, Rs 30 lakh on 23 August, Rs 40 lakh on 5 September and Rs 50 lakh on 16 September. He surpassed 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh in October. 11, crossed 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20 and surpassed the crore mark on December 19.

The country reached the grim milestone of two million rupees in May and 3 crore on June 23 last year. It crossed the four million rupee mark on January 25 this year.

Three deaths were reported in 24 hours, adding one in Maharashtra, Mizoram and Uttar Pradesh.
