Of the 10,777,618 cases of Covid-19 in India, 2.48% of inflamed people died and 63% recovered. The country recorded a total of 6,77,423 cases recovered while 26,816 succumbed to the virus.
India has one of the lowest mortality rates in the world, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) said in a statement. The case rate is the percentage of other people who died among those inflamed with Covid-19.
MoHFW stated that there were 29 States and Union Territories (UT) with a CFR below the Indian average, among which Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim, Mizoram and Andaman and Nicobar, have a CFR of zero.
A total of 14 states and UT have a TFC of less than 1%, while Uttar Pradesh has TAF with 2.35%, with 1,108 deaths from 47,036 cases. Karnataka has the time TAF with 2.07% with 1240 deaths from 59652 cases.
“Many States have conducted population surveys to map and identify the vulnerable population like the elderly, pregnant women and those with comorbidities. This, with the help of Mobile Apps, has ensured keeping the high-risk population under continuous observation, thus aiding early identification, clinical treatment and reducing fatalities. At the ground level, frontline health workers like ASHAs and ANMs have managed the migrant population and to enhance awareness at the community level,” said the MoHFW statement.
